Insuring success: NGC builds, improves sales incentive program

When one of the nation’s leading insurance companies was looking for a full-service gift card provider to manage their bimonthly sales incentive contests, they turned to NGC US, LLC. (NGC) for help.

Specifically, the insurer wanted a program which offered a custom-branded ordering portal, a wide selection of prepaid and closed-loop gift cards, and the ability to process and ship individual fulfillment orders.

The contests, designed to expand the insurer’s customer base and build employee morale, revolves around employees receiving a scratch-off card based on their monthly sales numbers. Employees redeem the dollar amount on the scratch-off card for a gift card supplied by NGC.

NGC develops web ordering solution

NGC designed for the insurer a custom, secure, company-branded website which allows employees to sign on to redeem their voucher, and to shop for a gift card among of selection of more than 50 different retail, dining, and entertainment choices. NGC manages the website, receives the orders, processes them, and ships the gift cards directly to the recipients, relieving the insurance company of the fulfillment task.

Results achieved, more improvements to come

Since the program, now streamlined by NGC, began in 2010, gift cards are being delivered in an efficient and on-time fashion, and insurance company employees are enjoying an easy gift card redemption option, and the versatility to choose the gift cards most enjoyable and useful for them. In the case of the insurance company, a key advantage is the convenience of having most all of their sales contest tasks managed by NGC, versus multiple incentive suppliers.

And, further improvements are underway, NGC plans to expand the award program to include its broad and increasingly popular ngcecodes family of electronically-delivered gift cards, and to take the awards process fully digital, eventually eliminating the need for scratch-off cards to determine award amounts.
