D.J. Asad joined NGC in 2018, as a part of the acquisition of Benefit Mobile, where he served as President & CEO. As SVP of Strategy, D.J. is responsible for developing NGC's short and long term strategy, implementing NGC's mission & vision, and maintaining awareness of the competitive market and growth opportunities. He also participates in strategic plan development, merger and acquisition (M&A) activity, and the overall management of the company.

Prior to Benefit and NGC, Asad headed up the mobile/digital payments team at FIS. With almost 10 years at FIS, D.J. worked closely on a number of digital payments initiatives including the Starbucks mobile wallet, Cardless ATM access, BP Mobile pay at the pump, and a number of solutions for banks ranging from community banks to large national financial institutions. Asad and his team also worked closely with partners like Apple and Google as they entered the payments space directly.

A Chicagoland native, Asad received his BA/BS degrees in Business and Psychology from the University of Arizona Eller College of Management and University of Arizona College of Science.
